As per our Terms & Conditions, you are responsible for any damage to the vehicle over and above the industry regulators, BVRLA, set fair wear and tear guidelines. You must pay any relevant costs for bringing the vehicle back to the condition stated in the vehicle delivery condition report.
As part of the booking process, you will be offered the opportunity to take out an excess waiver (subject to eligibility for Pivotal insurance). This can be added, or removed, from your subscription up to 1 working day prior to delivery of the vehicle. This option will not be available once the subscription becomes active.
This waiver would reduce the required insurance excess in the event of an accident or windscreen fault claim to £0. This excess waiver only covers vehicles delivered by Pivotal and does not cover courtesy vehicles that may be provided by third parties including your local dealer, roadside assistance or our insurance company. In addition, the excess waiver can only be used once per subscription hire period or once per 12-month period, whichever comes first.
Your claim must be formally registered and approved by Pivotal and/or our insurers whilst you still possess the vehicle and cannot be used after the vehicle has been returned. We cannot accept any excess waiver claims after we have collected the vehicle.
If you are found to have breached either ours or our insurance companies terms and conditions, the excess waiver will be voided and you will be responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle, accessories or other items provided by Pivotal as per our standard terms and conditions.
This includes but is not limited to damage resulting from the driver’s misuse of alcohol or drugs (including the misuse of prescription drugs), from fraudulent, dishonest, illegal activities or a criminal act committed by the driver or any passengers, if the hired vehicle was being driven by a person that is not named on your hire agreement, any damage that occurs while the hired vehicle is not on a public road, and any loss or damage resulting from a deliberate and intentional act by the driver.
You can remove this product up to 1 working day prior to the agreed vehicle delivery date. Cancellations can be completed by communicating with our customer service team, which is available through live chat on www.drivepivotal.com, via email at [email protected], or by calling us at 0207 950 4833.
If you cancel the car subscription associated with the excess waiver, the waiver will automatically be cancelled.
