At Pivotal, our success isn’t just about cars or numbers – it’s about the people who make everything possible. From customer service and operations to product and fleet management, these are the team members who’ve powered Pivotal from day one.
As we celebrate five years, we’re proud to introduce five dedicated team members who’ve been with us since the very beginning. They share their experiences, proud moments, and what excites them about Pivotal’s future.
Our Team’s Journey: In Their Own Words

1. You’ve been with Pivotal from the early days, what first drew you to the company?
What drew me in was the simplicity and customer-focused nature of the service – it removed many of the common stresses of car ownership. Coming from a traditional automotive background, I saw the potential right away, and that belief in the idea is what inspired me to take the leap and join the start-up
2. What’s one memory from your first year at Pivotal that still stands out?
A standout memory from the early days was the moment we brought our new proposition to life. After months of development and a growing waitlist, we found a way to secure 30 vehicles and move forward with the soft launch. That moment marked a real turning point.
3. In your own words, what does ‘driving forward’ mean at Pivotal?
Driving forward at Pivotal is something I think all our employees embody, it is the idea of constant innovation, never resting on our laurels in the aim to surpass the level of service that has existed in this industry until now.
4. What is your favourite car on our fleet and why?
My favourite car on the service is the Range Rover. I’m less interested in speed and more focused on comfort – probably a habit from growing up in London traffic. Driving it feels like relaxing in your favourite armchair, but on the road.

1. What’s one memory from your first year at Pivotal that still stands out?
Meeting the team when there were only 10 of us is a memory that really stands out. It felt like the early days of something exciting, everyone was hands-on, full of ideas, and genuinely in it together. Even then, it was clear that collaboration and shared wins were going to be a big part of how we work.
2. What accomplishment are you most proud of during your time here?
I’m most proud of being recognised as ‘Employee of the Year.’ It was incredibly rewarding to know that my hard work and contributions were not only seen but celebrated.
3. Describe Pivotal in 3 words.
Personable. Driven. Successful.
4. What is your favourite car on our fleet and why?
My favourite car in the fleet has to be the full-size Range Rover – it’s the perfect travel companion, offering generous space without compromising on luxury.

Onboarding Team Leader
1. What’s one memory from your first year at Pivotal that still stands out?
One standout from my first year was being hands-on with every step – from speaking with new customers and handling the eligibility checks to preparing and even delivering the vehicles myself. It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come since then.
2. How has the company changed the most in the past five years?
In the early days, we were a team of just four, involved in every part of the business. Today, we’ve grown to nearly 100 people, each focused on dedicated areas – with a fleet that’s expanded from just 20 vehicles to thousands.
3. You’ve been with Pivotal from the early days, what first drew you to the company?
After eight years in the automotive industry, I was ready for something different. Pivotal offered a fresh take on vehicle ownership, and the team’s shared ambition and vision really stood out. Six years on, I’m proud to still be part of the journey.
4. What is your favourite car on our fleet and why?
My favourite vehicle in the Pivotal line-up is the Discovery. It’s a great family vehicle and drives on par with the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover. The luggage space is also second to none, making it amazing for weekend getaways.

Head of Member Services
1. What’s one memory from your first year at Pivotal that still stands out?
While there isn’t one specific moment that stands out, I clearly remember the feeling of that first year – a positive, collaborative environment where challenges were tackled as a team and successes genuinely celebrated. It’s a culture I’ve aimed to pass on to every new starter since.
2. What was the biggest challenge you saw the team overcome, and how did it shape us?
In 2020, managing a few cars with spreadsheets worked – but as we grew, it quickly became unsustainable. Transitioning to a CRM was a major shift, but it transformed how we worked, supported continuous improvement, and brought us closer to achieving a true 360° view of both the customer and the vehicle.
3. What’s one thing you’re excited to see Pivotal achieve in the next 5 years?
Our goal is to serve customers in the way that suits them best, and that means continuing to expand and improve how we communicate. We’re committed to making it even easier for customers to reach us and get the support they need.
4. What is your favourite car on our fleet and why?
I am a country girl so it has to be a Defender 110.
